When Is Bleeding A Problem? Beware: TMI
Hmmm.....well I'm not at that point.
But god the cramping and pain is bad. Percoset is my newfound friend. I look forward to the close of every fourth hour when I get to take two of my lovely white pills. Don't worry: I know this stuff is addictive. My prescription has no refills and I'm not an addictive sort of person. But for now, I am loving the way it kills pain and gives me a nice buzz...and then I slip so easily off into lalaland.
Wow, now THAT was a percoset-induced digression!
But back to the PA. She also wondered, "Could it be your period?"
Well, maybe. But today is cycle day 22 and I'm not due til the 26th or 27th day. So if it's my period, I am totally early. Maybe all that bashing of my uterus during surgery has brought it on early. But how on earth to know for sure?
I guess period blood has a tendancy to clot. Right? Well this is red, sometimes dark, and sometimes a bit tissuey, like after a ER or failed IVF. So I think it might just be a normal post-surgery bleed.
It's a bit distressing anyways.
If anyone has had this experience post surgery I'd love to hear from you if you're up to sharing some gorey details with me.

P.S.,
Thank you to those of you that visited my page and sent good wishes during my surgery! You guys are wonderful. :-)

Don't know what to say, all I know is after both of my hysteroscopies I bled for ages, so it could be either. Sorry to hear you're so uncomfortable, let's hope it's over quickly.
I have no experience or advice, but I sure hope it gets better soon. And thank goodness for yummy drugs. What would we do without them?
I had a D&C last thurs...an although this is way TMI...I bled through my sheets too. Ugh...
I *heart* Percocet too!
Doc says the blood should subside in a few days and to expect a period in a month. We shall see.
Sorry you had to go thru this too.
I wish you didn't have to ask this question...how awful. Please keep close tabs and call the doc even if you think you're being silly!
I sure hope things have calmed down by now. If they haven't, even if you aren't going through a pad an hour, I would call....this coming from the Queen of Bleeding. It's better to be on the safe side.
My two periods after my D&C were much heavier, longer and somewhat clotty. I was surprised that the second one was somewhat clotty. But Dr. Beautiful said this was normal, so I'm not worried... yet.
She told me the same thing, unless you're burning through more than one pad//tampon per hour, you're okay.
But don't hesitate to call the doc if you're worried. It's part of their job to reassure you.
Hope it's better soon...
